Why Your Clothes Come Back Softer
Most cleaners still run garments through perchloroethylene, or PERC. The International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies it as probably carcinogenic to humans, and the US EPA classifies it as likely to be carcinogenic to humans. We built the plant without it. Wet cleaning uses water, biodegradable detergent and machines that control agitation and moisture precisely, then every piece is finished by hand. Nothing comes back smelling like a chemical. If you want the full comparison, we laid it out on wet cleaning versus dry cleaning.

River Forest Dry Cleaning FAQs
Is pickup and delivery free in River Forest?
Yes. No delivery fee, no minimum order, no membership. Our storefront at 6407 W North Ave is just about a mile east of Harlem. Schedule online or text “Pick Up” to 224-888-3222, and we collect from your door anywhere in 60305.
My tag says dry clean only. Can you still clean it?
That is the whole point of wet cleaning. Water based, temperature controlled, hand finished. It handles wool, silk, cashmere, structured suits and lined garments that traditional cleaners send through solvent.
How long does it take?
Most standard orders come back within a few days. Specialty work like alterations, leather or rug cleaning takes longer, and we tell you the timeline when you book.
Do you clean bedding and household items too?
Yes. Comforters, duvets, pillows, curtains and table linens, plus everyday wash and fold laundry priced by the pound. All of it moves on the same pickup.
Do you clean rugs and curtains from older River Forest homes?
Yes. Area rugs, runners, lined drapery and wool throws go out on the same pickup as your clothes. Homes inside the River Forest Historic District tend to send more of it, and none of it needs solvent.
Can our condo building get a locker?
Very likely. We install locker banks at no cost to the property and handle servicing ourselves. If you sit on a River Forest board or manage a building here, ask us about lockers.
Tell Us What Needs Cleaning
